Patient FAQs

Do I need an appointment?

No, an appointment is not necessary.  Our office are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm.  Come in when it is convenient for you.  If you do not need to fast prior to testing, you may wish to come in later in the day.

Do I need a physician's order for my lab test?

In order to bill your health insurance, a valid order from an authorized provider, such as an M.D., D.O or ARNP is required.

What if IML is not in-network with my insurance?

Some insurances restrict their network to only one lab.  If your insurance does not include IML in its network, you can still take advantage of our service using our Your Test, Your Choice Program.  For a small fee, IML will collect and process your specimens for testing at your network lab.

Can I get a copy of my lab results?

Yes.  We are happy to send you a copy of your results by secure email.  Just ask us when you get your blood drawn or call Customer Service at (800) 288-1IML.

My lab order is from another lab.

IML accepts lab orders on prescriptions, universal lab requisitions and other labs' order forms.

My physician isn't in Florida.

Many of our patients see physicians in other states or even other countries.  IML is able to accept lab orders from these physicians, as long as all of the the physician name, address and telephone number, as well as the patient's name, date of birth and test are shown.  Please note some insurance plans do not cover services outside of the plan area.

What about my secondary insurance?

Medicare will automatically send a claim to your secondary insurance for any lab services they do not cover.
